What are the requirements for applying for a scholarship?

Requirements are published in the Local Scholarship Booklet available at Scotch Plains-Fanwood High School. The basics are:

Women who are either 1) high school seniors or 2) college students, and who plan to pursue a Baccalaureate Degree at a four-year college.
High school applicants must be residents of Fanwood or Scotch Plains. College applicants must have been residents of Fanwood or Scotch Plains at the time they graduated from high school.
Scholarships are awarded based on the 1) financial need, 2) academic achievement, and 3) character of the applicant.

How many scholarships are awarded?

In 89 years, the College Club has awarded approximately $810,000.00 in scholarships to approximately 595 women!

When is the application period?

On or before FEBRUARY 14, 2026, all applicants should submit the electronic Authorization for Release of Transcript form to have the transcript of their grades and SAT/ACT scores forwarded directly to the Scholarship Chairperson. All other application materials must be mailed by the applicant to:

Application materials must be postmarked ON OR BEFORE FEBRUARY 14, 2026 to be eligible for consideration. Hand-delivered applications will not be accepted. PLEASE DO NOT SEND TO THE COLLEGE CLUB PO BOX ADDRESS!
